Rights & responsibilities
Certification is just one part of the building, subdivision and development process. All involved, from the applicant (a developer, landowner or homeowner) to the certifier and the Board, all have certain rights and responsibilities. Information about the rights and responsibilities of these parties is detailed in the pages to the left.
Information on the rights and responsibilities of consent authorities (councils or State agencies) is available from the Department of Planning's website.
The rights and responsibilities of principal contractors (builders) in relation to the certification process are detailed here.
