Conduct of certifiers

Complaints

Under section 21 of the Building Professionals Act 2005, any person can make a complaint to the Building Professionals Board in relation to the professional conduct of an accredited certifier.

The Board cannot accept complaints about councils.

Audit Investigations

The Board can also conduct investigations into the work and activities of accredited certifiers and councils in their capacity as certifying authorities under sections 45 and 46 of the Building Professionals Act 2005.
