Council Accredited Certifiers
The Board released a number of information sheets to assist councils and council accredited certifiers during the implementation period.

Among other things, the regulation and scheme amendments proposed:
- Categories of accreditation for council building surveyors
- The requirements for accreditation for these officers (qualifications and experience)
- A process for the accreditation of council officers (explained in draft guidelines).

As part of the exhibition, the Board held 16 information sessions across the State, attended by 700 council officers. A summary of the matters raised by attendees during the sessions was compiled in December 2008.

Call for Expressions of Interest - Board Committees
The Board sought expressions of interest by 4 September 2009 for membership of its Accreditation and Disciplinary Committees. The Accreditation Committee determines applications for accreditation and the Disciplinary Committee determines complaints and other investigations undertaken by the Board into the conduct of accredited certifiers. The Committees comprise Board members and external members with expertise in areas relevant to the Board's functions.

Recent Administrative Decisions Tribunal finding
The Administrative Decisions Tribunal delivered a decision emphasising the nature and role performed by accredited certifiers, together with the expectations that members of the public are entitled to hold of them.
